Android App Privacy & Permissions

When you use the FlixAdda Android App, we prioritize your privacy by only requesting permissions strictly necessary for the app to function properly:

Internet & Network: Required to connect to our servers, load movie/show metadata, and sync your account preferences.

App Data & Diagnostics: We may collect anonymous crash logs and basic device information (like OS version and device model) solely to identify bugs and improve app stability. We do NOT access your contacts, camera, microphone, or personal files.

How We Secure Your Data

We deploy robust, enterprise-grade backend measures to guarantee your data's integrity. Passwords are never stored in plain text; we utilize advanced hashing algorithms (such as Argon2id and Bcrypt) to encrypt your credentials.

All database interactions are protected using PDO prepared statements to entirely eliminate the risk of SQL injection vulnerabilities. Furthermore, our infrastructure uses mathematically verified CSRF tokens across all active sessions to prevent unauthorized, cross-site executions.

Account Safety & Alerts

Your account security is actively monitored. If our systems detect an authentication attempt from a new or unrecognized device, an automated SMTP email alert will be immediately dispatched to your registered address.

To thwart brute-force attacks and botnets, we enforce stringent rate limiting. Generating 5 consecutive failed login attempts will result in an automatic 30-minute account lock. Additionally, all public forms utilize honeypot fields and mathematical CAPTCHAs to block automated spam.

Cookies & Third-Party Integration

Session Cookies: We deploy strict cookies configured with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite flags. These are exclusively utilized to maintain your active login session and remember basic preferences (like Light/Dark mode).

Third-Party Analytics: We may integrate verified third-party API networks (such as location mappers or analytics) to sustain our platform. Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to privacy and the right to be forgotten. Users have full control over their personal data.

How to delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly through the Android App by navigating to Profile / Settings > Delete Account. Alternatively, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team.

Upon deletion, your profile details, favorites, watch history, and account credentials are instantly and permanently erased from our secure servers. This action cannot be undone.

Your Consent

By engaging with our platform, downloading our mobile application, compiling your watchlists, authenticating via OTP, and utilizing our entertainment database, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy frameworks and explicitly agree to its foundational data handling terms.
