Even though she secured a quota in the 10m Air Rifle event, Anjum Moudgil will be competing in the 50m Rifle 3 Position event. It’s an event the Punjab girl has won multiple medals in, including World Cups. The 27-year-old, who put up her paintings for auction during the pandemic to raise funds for affected sporting communities, will be teaming up with Deepak Kumar for the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Event.
Tejaswini Sawant, shooting 50m
At 41, Tejaswini Sawant is the oldest shooter in the Indian contingent. When she first competed internationally, her current teammate Elavenil Valarivan was five, and pistol shooter Manu Bhaker, just two! The Kolhapur shooter, who competes in the 50m Rifle 3P event, has won medals across all events and has qualified for the Olympics for the very first time after missing out thrice.
